Whitney,
I am by NO means a gull expert, however, I will put myself out on a limb and hope all of the pro's out there take it easy on me! lol.
I think that the GULLID01 could be a second winter Heermann's gull and GULLID02 is an adult non-breeding Heermann's gull. The second gull photo appears much more uniform in the darkness with the red bill with the white crescent. The first gull photo appears a bit lighter with the appearance of almost a "hood", red bill and the white crescent behind the wings and on the tail. I hope someone else responds to you as well to either confirm or correct me.

One I think is a Common Murre or a Marbled Murrelet (never seen one of either before thus the question)... another is a gull that I have NO idea about and the last is a rather large hawk that was sitting on a fence by the side of Hwy 20 just before Whitney, WA.> > Any input is greatly appreciated!
