In less than a week I observed two flickers of the "yellow-shafted" type.
One was outside Bucoda on 10/8 at Ohop St via Tono Rd, the other was at the
east part of Tenino on 10/13. Of the former I had no definitive observation
except the bright yellow underwing; the latter I'm guessing was an
intermediate female with a bit more gray in the head than "red-shafted."
