This is old news but it occurred long before I was aware of sites like this
to post on. About 25 years ago I lived in Milwaukie, OR. I regularly ran an
approximately 4 mile loop-Linwood Ave, King Road, Price Fuller Road, Harmony
Road. Now the story: There was this crow that decided to attack me. It
perched on a power line on King Road and would swoop down at me occasionally
hitting the back of my head or shoulders while I jogged. It would then fly a
power pole or two forward and wait for me to run by before repeating the
attack. It would follow me for over a mile before quitting. It occurred every
time I ran that route for several weeks. There happened to be an article in
the Oregonian where somebody else had a similar experience somewhere else.
The proposed solution was to wear a baseball hat backwards with a couple of
"eyes" painted on it. I used a couple of pin on campaign buttons. It either
worked or the crow tired of his attacks because they ceased even though I saw a
crow perched about the same place where the attacks would begin. I thought
this might be of interest to some of you out there.
