Hi Tweeters,

My wife and I spent four days in the Seaside, OR, area last
week. The birding, and photography, highlights were:

1) A Northern Fulmar stranded on the beach at Seaside. It seemed
alert but was unable to move.
2) A juvenile Peale's Peregrine Falcon that swooped over the Nehalem
sewage treatment plant ponds several times before landing on a power line.
3) A Ruff at the Fernhill Wetlands south of Forest Grove, west of Portland.

Other interesting sightings were one Pacific Golden-Plover at Fort
Stevens State Park near the base of the South Jetty and one
White-tailed Kite at the Nehalem Meadows.

Photos of these birds and a few others are in the new photos folder
on my website.
