I was doing a little birding at the Vancouver Lake lowlands this
afternoon and saw quite a few WESTERN MEADOWLARKS (probably upwards
of 12) in the grassy wetlands past the park entrance. Additionally I
saw what I believe to be a female PEREGRINE FALCON (or Prairie Falcon
maybe) hunting in the same area--along with several harriers and red-
tails. Tomorrow I hope to see what it's like at sunrise. :)
