Hello all,
Just had a Steller's Jay in our yard here in College Place - approx. 10
miles from the foothills of the Blue Mountains and away from the
rivers/creeks. We have lived here 17 years and this is a first! Have been
putting out a few peanuts on the feeder hoping to attract a Blue Jay but a
Steller's is nice too - of course the magpies harassed it and it flew off to
the northwest after a minute.

Enjoying the beautiful day here, MerryLynn

P.S. We had a Steller's Jay in Sacajawea Park in Franklin county years ago
which is FAR from their usual habitat.
