....Reports are that the ground is already covered with lasting snow in the northern Canada, the Yukon, and north half of Alaska.. and the daytine temps are below freezing. With ongoing La Nina, the winter may be a colder than normal one, and the early migrations of many bird species sem to idicate that they sense this. Early cold and snow push ducks, swans and other Artic-nesting species south earlier than usual.
.....Well...we will see about this coming winter.. The cool, wet nasty weather of the last few weeks may be a prelude of things to come.
