A few notes on a trip up through Grant County to Northrup Canyon:

4 Eurasian Collared-Doves at Stratford grain elevator and a Townsend's Solitaire in town.
Two flocks of more than 100 each American Pipits north of Moses Lake (Rd 17) and south of Hartline (Rd 37).
7 Pine Siskins in Hartline.
A Prairie Falcon north of Hartline.
4 Rough-legged Hawks between Moses Lake and Grand Coulee (through Stratford, Wilson Creek and Hartline)
6+ Tundra Swans up the hill south of Grand Coulee (also about 10 swans on Alkali Lake)
A Glaucous-winged Gull at the north dam of Banks Lake.
A Golden Eagle and 6 (groups of 2 and 4) Townsend's Solitaires in Northrup Canyon.
A Red-breasted Merganser toward the north end of Lake Lenore.
11 Dunlin and 2 Bonaparte's Gulls at Soap Lake, plus hundreds of Eared Grebes and Ruddy Ducks.

There was still some ice in the shade at 2:45 pm on the trail in Northrup Canyon.
