This morning, Sunday, at the River "S" unit of Ridgefield NWR, I was able to
see a Chipping Sparrow with a group of Golden-crowned Sparrows and a little
while later I saw a Lapland Longspur on the road boarding the SE side of
Rest Lake. It was quite foggy at the time, but I did manage to get a
picture of the Longspur which can be seen at

I saw the Rough-legged Hawk which I had seen Friday. I also saw about 15
Canvasbacks which have been in the same general area for the last week-that
is on the far side of S. Big Lake, which is across the road from Rest Lake.
I saw no Tundra Swans today.
