Here are my 2 cents worth...
when I was a little girl (1950-60s) my father worked for the UW. when we went to his work I was fascinated by the parade of big garbage trucks entering and exiting the dump.
JP Patches was on TV at the time and the program's intro mentioned he lived at the "city dump", The Montlake dump being the only dump I knew of, JP must live there, It concerned me that his little shack might get covered with a load of garbage....
When I became a Tweeter, there were lots of place names that I didn't recognize, Here's what I did, I sent an e-mail to the one who posted about a place and asked where it was. I always got quick, polite and useful responses.
