Hi Tweets,

I have posted on this list for a long time. I've dropped off several times
and have been coerced/cajoled/convinced to rejoin and post from my local
area (eastern Washington in the Central Basin). I seldom get too vocal about
topics, but enough is enough. Every time I have left this group it is
because of ridiculous and repetitive posts like this one. I have neither the
time nor energy for this B.S.

Scott is correct.

If you are in any the following groups, stop complaining.

If you do not own a copy of Birder's Guide to Washington.
If you do not own a Washinton Atlas & Gazetteer.
If you have not attempted to contact Tweeters or Inland Birders posters and
developed your own list of birding locations.
If you do not have a DNR, Forest Service, National Park, or State Park maps.
If you do not have county specific birding books when available.
If you do not own Seattle/Tacoma area city maps or maps of any other
location you wish to bird in.

If you have none of these then you've made absolutely no effort on your own
behalf. If you are unwilling to help yourself, why should an individual or
group spend the time and money to set up a website so you don't have to put
forth any effort?
Set up your own list and maintain it. It is inexpensive, effective, and
only takes something that many seem to lack, initiative and work ethic.
You will most likely meet new birding friends who would be as willing to
take you to a location as to try to explain where it is.

To end this tirade I would say this: If you are going to Arizona (or
anywhere else) to bird would you join their list and complain about their
lack of implicit directions and insist that they build a website so you can
find those 'hotspots'? After all they are in the same group called 'birders'
with us, and don't those folks in all those states owe the 'group'
something? How dare they post their 'secret' spots without proper names and
directions. Get on those list serves and give-'em-hell.

Enough with this already.
