Thanks for sharing your Eagle story.

Yes Eagles, Accepters, Owls, Falcons and Broad Wings eat living things; just
as all predators do. You should have suggested that you trap the Eagle and
teach it to eat vegetables! I can just image the film footage of the Mighty
Bald Eagle stooping on the elusive cabbage! Too Much Fun!!!

As humans we often are so removed from the natural environment that we loose
track of how Nature really works. I've wondered how many "save the wolf"
type folks would be comfortable watching a wolf pack eat the guts out of a
calf elk while it's still alive. Our understanding of predator / prey
relationships is often very sanitized compared with the reality of what
happens every day in every forest and sky.

Hope your able to help your friend see the truth some day; and accept it.
