Hi Tweeters!!

Today I took a drive with my husband to Ridgefield NWR
in Ridgefield, WA. Just after entering the driving
tour, I photographed this little guy, who I'm having
trouble identifying. I'm thinking it's a LEAST
BITTERN:

Way off in the distance, at the bird blind, a woman
and I spotted what we believe to be a GREATER WHITE
FRONT GOOSE:

and this AMERICAN BITTERN (can you see him?):

Also identified at the blind were many GREAT EGRET
(about 10-15), CINNAMON TEAL, OSPREY, COOTS and this
PIED-BILLED GREBE:

BUSHTIT, right?:

Throughout the refuge, WESTERN SCRUB JAY could be
found. This one was pounding open some sort of goody:

And........as if I haven't proven myself to be a
complete neophyte at IDing...here's a, um, GLAUCOUS
GULL seen flying over the water around the last turn
of the drive:

Also, the MUSKRATS were all over the place, some with
young. PAINTED TURTLES were on floating logs. Several
raptors were seen in the distance, but too far away
for ID.
