I just can't help but to add my 2 cents worth. I still vividly remember my ocean voyage on a troop ship heading to Korea, back in December 1960. We sailed along the Hawaiian Northwest Chain of islands and atolls, including Midway. But mostly the islands were out of sight. I'm glad to seethat the Bonin Petrel is doing OK. At one point in time, the species was nearing extinction out threre.
