Hi Tweets,

I spent a few hours this afternoon checking the waters of Central Puget
Sound. My boat has been in the shop most of the summer so it was nice to
finally get out. A lone Red Phalarope in a small flock of Red-necked
Phalaropes off of Jefferson Head was the main highlight. I had one in the
same general area at the end of September last year.

Large numbers of Common Murres (2,500-3000) have congregated just south of
Jeff Head. It seems to be a yearly event.

I had probably 40 total Common Terns and finally near the end of the trip on
the east-side of Bainbridge Island, I had a lone adult Parasitic Jaeger.
This is my first jaeger of the fall for Puget Sound waters.

Cheers and good birding,
