Sat. evening at the Frank Wagner Elementary School in Monroe there were about 60-70 people there to observe the Vaux's Swifts. There were a number of East Lake WA, Pilchuck and Seattle Audubon members plus others that had read about the event in the Bird Note or in one of the newspapers. The swifts did their flight ritual of circling and diving over the chimney for over one hour before they started dropping feet first down into the chimney. I estimated there were at least 3-4000 swifts involved and they all made it into the chimney by 8 p.m.
