After a very enjoyable morning with Bob Flores at the Ridgefield
NWR, I stopped by Vancouver Lake to check the shorebird flats south of
the Flushing Channel. Here I had:
28 GREATER YELLOWLEGS
10 LESSER YELLOWLEGS
100 WESTERN SANDPIPERS
1 RED-NECKED PHALAROPE
4 BONAPARTE'S GULLS
There was one "Tule" GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE at Ruefner's
Pond, where Ray Korpi had found a flock earlier this week.
Along Old Lower River Road,, there was a GREEN HERON in the one
pond on the north side of the road just after you exit Lower River Road.
