No great shakes given others reports (I'm headed out to nw Clallam Co later
this week myself), but I heard a RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET (FOS) on Saturday
morn, Sept 8, at Tiny's Land in n. Lake Stevens. It's a bit early but we've
had them in the first week of Sept in w Wa lowlands in recent years.
Migrants have been really few so far through our place, although night
flight early Sunday produced 6 Savannah Sparrows, 5 warbler, sp. and perhaps
15 Swainson's Thrush in overflight just before dawn. Warblers have been
very few by day, with thus far just single Townsend's and Orange-crowned.
