Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday September 13. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

During the week a BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER has been at Smith/Bybee Lakes in
North Portland. On September 7 a probable WHITE-WINGED DOVE was near the
Alvord Ranch north of Fields.

Good numbers of WHITE-CROWNED, GOLDEN-CROWNED, and FOX SPARROWS arrived in
Oregon during the week. Heavy movements of SWAINSON?S THRUSHES were also
reported.

On September 9 a FORSTER?S TERN was at Yaquina Bay. A SABINE?S GULL and five
ARCTIC TERNS were on Clatsop Beach September 7.

SANDHILL CRANES are now arriving on Sauvie Island and Ridgefield NWR. A
RED-NECKED GREBE has been at the Fernhill Wetlands during the week. Three
SABINE?S GULLS are now at Fern Ridge Reservoir. A FRANKLIN?S GULL was there
September 10. A WHIMBREL was there September 11.

On September 6 an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER was at the new Prineville Sewage
Ponds. On September 7 a SABINE?S GULL was at Upper Klamath Lake. On
September 7 a REDSTART was at Malheur Headquarters. Ten RED-BREASTED
NUTHATCHES were there September 9. An albino COOT is now at Krumbo Pond
along the Central Petrol Road on the refuge.
