Location: Ridgefield NWR River S Unit, Clark County, Washington





This afternoon at the River "S" unit the birding was interesting.

There was over 160 Great Egrets on Rest lake ,

Then around 3:30 a mixed flock of Least and Western Sandpipers and at

least 3 Dunlin flew in to land on the

North end of rest lake to join the ca.50 Long-billed Dowitchers and

the 17 Greater Yellowlegs and 3 Lesser Yellowlegs that were all ready

there. All in all a nice afternoon of Birding. Also over South Big

lake there was at least 3000 Barn swallows in action. a very low

estimate of the number.
