Tweeters:

I live in Wyoming. In the spring of 2002 I visited the Seattle area and saw
many birds in a variety of places. Brian Bell guided me for a couple of
days. It was a marvelous exciting trip. I joined the Tweeters list and
participated in many exchanges of points of view. I sometimes offered some
humorous comments. Many wonderfully charming Tweeters replied; it seemed
that I either did not offend people or the ones whom I did offend were
politely silent about my exuberance and occasional irreverence.

Since that time I changed computers and lost most of the Tweeters exchanges
from that period. Someone posed a question about what to call young coots,
since we use the terms goslings and ducklings but no one quite knows what to
call a cootling, or cootlet. In one of my better fits of creativity I
authored a piece on this subject, but cannot find it. I would be deeply
indebted if someone were to find it in their archives. My daughter in law
would share my gratitude. I am just not as creative now as I was then.

Me email address in those days was birder at vcn.com and my backup address was
"mediate at vcn.com." My address now is birder1 at bresnan.com.

Thank you all.
