Hi Tweets,

at 7:00 this morning a Barred owl woke me, he was making that "ascending hoot-two phrase hoot". (according to Voices of North American Owls) He must have been hooting for about 5 minutes or better for it to penetrate my brain. It was fairly light out and the neighborhood was making noise, dogs barking and cars etc. He finally flew out of the area still calling. Just seemed weird because it was so light out.
