I recall a radio drama , back in the late 1940's, when I was young and impressionable. I think it was called The Birds too. I suspec tit was the source of the Hitchcock idea. Anyway, the story took place in England, and the birds doing the attacking were Northern Gannetts!

P.S. I am sorry I never met Patrick Sullivan. He was a hero for any enthusiastic birder to follow.
