I was shocked to hear of the loss of one of the finest young men
I have ever met. Patrick was a person with a gentle soul and the finest
ears and eyes of any birder I have ever met. He went out of his way to
help everyone from beginning birdwatcher to experienced birders and was
patient and informative with all of us. I first met Patrick and Ruth at a
Wenas Campout in Patrick's preteen years and everyone there was impressed
by his drive and ability and he soon was a favorite of the attendees. He
will be missed by all those who met him or read the postings of his and
Ruth's field trips. My sincere condolences go to you Ruth.
