dry dock on lummi island - my wife laura and i walking over the top to
look for produce at the small farm and then down to legoe bay to look
for ducks (saw a few harlequin a few days ago) saw a three hermit
thrushes - right out in the alder dappled sun - one showing his throat,
another the fine chestnut flank - we watched them for a couple of
minutes and then they were gone -

otherwise it was the usual suspects

robins by the scores
varied thrush
belted kingfisher
song sparrow
starling
double crested cormorant
mew gull
glaucous winged gull
common loon
red-necked grebe
fox sparrow
raven (saw one flying fast and straight and just above the alders,
calling out sounds i've never heard before - strange! i wondered if
there was about to be an earthquake, it was so unusual.)
golden crowned kinglet
dark eyed junco
surf scoter

a beautiful day - dry dock rocks

take care
