Subject: [Tweeters] A bit of owl magic

For the past month I have been working on building a writers tree house in
the woods where I can go to write, surrounded by nature. I finished it
today, moved my journal there and did a bit of sitting and writing. As I
descended the ladder a Barred Owl flew up into a nearby cedar and did a few
rounds of who cooks for you, which I took to be an affirmation and blessing
for my new little writers space. As I walked through the woods the owl
followed me, sometimes perching just ahead of me, quite low. I love the way
they move their head around and around in a circular motion. I sat on a
bench and the owl perched Companionably nearby and preened. I wondered if
it was the owl of a couple years ago which my kids named George and who
hung around and engaged in many interesting encounters. As I got up to head
back, the owl flew off in the opposite direction and I went into town for an
evening event. As I returned home tonight and got out of the car, there was
the owl, perched nearby, as if it was waiting for me. Its outside right
now, calling randomly.

Welcome home.
