Interesting observations on Brown Pelicans. I do not know of any Brown Pelicans that nest along the Oregon-Washington coast. 99% of the population breed in the Sea of Cortez along with the Heermanns Gulls. There are so many sub-adult Brown Pelicans along the eastern Pacific coast that we located one this month at the Walla Walla River delta, this is at the confluance of the Columbia and the Walla Walla Rivers in southeastern Washington. This is a first record for Walla Walla County.
