Hi Mary and Tweets,

On a run through the Free-lard neighborhood in Seattle (between Ballard and Fremont) this morning I had my first singing pugetensis White-crowned Sparrow on the Burke Gilman trail next to Fred Meyer. This territory has been occupied by a singing male for the last couple years and accompanies many of my spring and summer runs, even at night.

This a.m. I was watching a small flock of Yellow-rumped Warblers work the
trees near my place, and realized I hadn't yet heard/seen any White-crowned
Sparrows. Usually by this time of year, where I am they've been singing for
at least 10 days. I know some of you have already reported them. Does
anyone else not have WCSP yet???
