Hello, The Priest Point Park Pygmy Owl was calling again today just around noon at the north end of the park. To see this bird, listen for it, stay on the main trail and check the tops of each tree in the cluster of firs it prefers. A scope would certainly allow a better view, but binocs can do the trick.
Also there were several Hutton's Vireos about and a Rufous Hummingbird nest in clear view just 15 feet or so directly above the trail on a Cedar branch.
Anyone interested in that bird can contact me for further details.
Thanks,
Keith Brady
Olympia, WA
