Today I visited Bowerman Basin (Gray's Harbor NWR). Although there was not
a shorebird in sight at high tide, I did see a Say's Phoebe feeding from
the thicket along the road to the sandpiper trail. A familiar sight when
I'm down in California but I've never seen one in Western Washington.
Rare bird?
