Did another morning run to Lake Sammamish State Park this morning after Ed Newbold reported hearing a Barred Owl there during the day. I did not hear/see the owl at the place reported. Using my boyfriends parking permit, I parked in the Microsoft lots and walked down into the meadows by Issaquah Creek. A lone Mourning Dove was flying about in the cottonwood trees. A quick stop to the swimming beaches turned up a pair of Band-tailed Pigeons and Varied Thrushes. Also had 3 Cliff Swallows which I don't recall seeing there before. And of course all of the usuals were seen and heard as well.
