Subject: [Tweeters] Northern Shrike at Emerald Downs area

Today has been a good birding day for me. I walked on the Interurban Trail near Emerald Downs and over to the 29th Street bridge over Mill Creek. There I found a Northern Shrike, perched on a small tree. Eventually it flew after some Crows in the cow pasture, just south of the bridge. It swooped at one of the Crows, though I imagine Crows are a bit too large as prey. But I don't really know.
I am always hoping that the Black Phoebe will come back, but I don't think it did last year.
