Tweeters,

Spent some time with an adult Larus Gull at the mouth of Issaquah Creek
that is unlike anything I've examined before, and find it irritating
that I can't figure out what it is.

22-25 inches

Glaucous mantle.
Wings like mantle, but with a brown tinge.
No white pattern in wings.
Bright white head and chest with no streaking.
Nice round dark eye.
Head more flat than round.
Moderate sized yellow bill with distinctive dark band almost to the tip.
No red on bill.
Dull pinkish feet and legs.
Tail had a faint dark band near the end.

At this point I would guess it as a Glaucous-winged hybrid of some kind
that just reached adulthood.

It flew off to the NE about an hour ago.

Any ideas?

I have some images, which will take some time, but wanted to make a
quick report in case this is a "good" one.
