The emergence of the West Point Yellow-bellied Marmot from hibernation last week seems to have triggered an influx of other eastern Washington species. This afternoon a Say's Phoebe was hawking insects from the drift wood on the North Beach near West Point. Meanwhile on the South Beach near the Lighthouse five Mountain Bluebirds were braving the gale force winds. They too were fly catching from the driftwood. What will turn up next?
