I am sorry that I cannot remember who is keeping track of the bird count
for Lewis County, so I am posting this to the list.

Today for the first time, there were Evening Grosbeak at the platform
feeder and at suet feeder (the large size with a woodpecker mix in it)
in my yard. They came and went for several hours, so there may have
been more, but six females were all that were ever there at the same
time.

They joined the regular visitors: flocks of Oregon Junco, Black capped
and Brown backed Chickadees, and Red-breasted Nuthatch as well as
Spotted Towhee, Varied Thrush, Stellar Jays, one song sparrow and one
female Flicker. Again, there may be more than one sparrow and Flicker
that visit my feeders, but I never see more than one at a time.

This week, the hummingbirds have been buzzing my front window for the
first time this Spring, too. My son had a hummingbird feeder there for
years, but I do not care for hummingbirds, so I removed it last Fall.
