Hello Tweeters,

WOS members should be finding the Conference issue of WOSNews in their
mailboxes from today on. We don?t have a cover story this time, so
please look at page 7 and the following pages for trips and target
species locations, lodging, food, and registration materials. Trip
leaders will be found on www.wos.org by Tuesday. Please submit your
questions to the online source jstephens62 at comcast.net and the
appropriate conference contact will respond. You may register at any
time. Look in WOSNews or online for the deadline and for registration
processing details.

This conference features trips that you will not find in any published
materials. So, if you want to beef up your Benton, Franklin, Walla
Walla, Garfield, or Columbia county lists, or if you want to get a
Green-tailed Towhee and other specialties for your state list you should
have a lot of fun on these trips. Reference the Target Species list for
birds you?d like to see and then cross-reference your DeLorme for the
trip start and end locations. We can take you to places you?ve never
been before!

This conference has the distinction of offering a fresh slate of good
local birders as field trip leaders as well as many veteran WOS trip
leaders. Heidi Newson, Phil Bartley, Jim Nessler, Bob Dirting, Howard
Browers, Michael Willison, and Mike and MerryLynn Denny are some the
locals that will be on hand to lead birders into the verdant forests of
the Blue Mountains, across the passerine-filled riparian corridors, and
into the rich Walla Walla Delta.

Come and spend a few days exploring this special corner of the state and
its unique and special birds. We?ll see you there!
