Last week I birded for a day and a half in counties east of the cascades. A handful of images from that trip may be viewed at:

Also, for a few weeks, I have been working on a new gallery of Merlin images All were taken within Washington state over the last 4 years. The link is:

Many of these photos were digiscoped from long distances. It's a work in progress, to be sure. It contains images of Black (Pacific, Suckleyii) and Taiga (Columbarius, Boreal) Merlins, and possibly a Prairie (Richardson's) Merlin. There are images of males and females as well as adults and young birds. Some perched, some in flight. I'll supply locations and descriptions for each image as time allows. For now, I hope there is something here of value for all of you Merlin fans.
