have one crow that is doing that also. I have even changed the suet feeder, two days later it had mastered that also. I don't want to change another caged suet feeder--this is the one that I see the Hairy on most often.
I have two Steller's that fly up, hang on and peck, then take a mouthful or two before flying down to see if anything fell on the ground.
