Hi Tweets:
I got out for a couple of hours of birding at midday today in the sunshine.

In Kent Valley at the S 204th St field, there is more water in the field after recent
showers. There were 25 Greater Yellowlegs in the field at 11:00am. Also about 50
Grn-w Teal, and a few N Shovelers. Marsh Wrens, Savannah Sparrows, and Ruby-crnd
Kinglets were singing. You can access this field from Frager Rd at 212th St or come
down past the cemetery from Orillia Rd.

At the Des Moines Fishing Pier during the quite-low tide at 12:30pm:
30 Bonaparte's Gulls, some with black heads.
2 Common Loons, one in breeding plumage
1 Red-n Grebe
5 Pigeon Guillemots in breeding plumage interacting with each other
1 juv Thayer's Gull in with the Gl-w Gulls at the jetty
1 Cormorant sp (not Double-crested)
Several Barrow's Goldeneyes
2 Common Goldeneyes
3 Surf Scoters
6 Brants
Few Mallards and Wigeon.

Yours, Carol Schulz
