On our ground- feeding area beneath our kitchen windows, we watched as a
Mourning Dove nodded politely to a Band-tailed Pigeon while a pair of our
nesting California Quail serenely ignored both of them. I wondered if they all
were waiting for one of our female Mallards to show up, accompaned by her
ever-watchful mate.
I think Spring just might be here, but if so, why do we have early
morning temps in the 30 degrees?? Oh, beat the
