Today I went to look for the Mountain Bluebirds at Discovery Park and found three of them very easily. Two were just north of the lighthouse and perched on the remains of the hut built out of driftwood. Another one along the south beach, also perched on driftwood. I also saw two Common Loons, one of them in breeding colors.

In general the park was abuzz with bird activity and lots of new spring arrivals.

I wasn't able to locate the Say's Phoebe or Yellow-bellied Marmot, but had an upclose encounter with three River Otters.

The Bluebirds were fabulous!
