Hi Tweets,
Since I wasn't able to find the Say's Phoebe on my last trip to Discovery Park I knew I had to return to find this elusive, at least for me, bird. I had success on this beautiful minus tide afternoon Friday 4/11/08. The Say's Phoebe was located on North Beach in the same area as the Mountain Bluebirds. In addition while walking the beach I noticed a crow chasing a smaller bird. I waited until the chase was complete and was able to take a few photo's of the smaller bird. I think it is an American Pipit, photo available in the attached URL. I'm not sure if this is an unusual sighting or not, I know I have never seen one. It was located on North Beach on a rocky spit that is exposed on low tides, about 500-600 yards east of the light house.

While walking back to the south parking lot I sighted a sparrow like bird which, as most sparrow like birds do, confused me, that is also included on my flickr site and if possible I would like some identification help.

One bird that I was able to identify was a pair of Rhinoceros Auklets in bursting breeding plumage about 150 yards off shore.
Additional sightings include:
Bald Eagle Pair
Ever present Crows
Mountain Bluebirds
Western Grebes considerable sized raft off North Beach
Sanderlings
Black Brants
Mallards
Gadwalls
Great Blue Heron
White Crowned Sparrows
Song Sparrows
Buffleheads
Northern Shovelers
Anna's Hummingbirds
Stellers Jay
Band-tailed Pigeon
American Robin
