Yesterday, Jeff Jendro, Dianna Moore, and I did some birding in and around Ocean Shores. On the way back home, Jeff and I made a few stops in between Hoquiam and Elma. Here's the highlights:

Ocean Shores:

Behind the McDonald's - Orange-crowned Warbler (first of year for us)

Ocean Lake Way (near the bridge) - Pair of Osprey on the cell phone tower

Weatherwax property (did a somewhat thorough walk of the forested area):

Winter Wren - 7 (all singing like crazy)
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 2
American Robin - 4
Varied Thrush - 2
Orange-crowned Warbler - 2
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 5
Townsend's Warbler - 2
Spotted Towhee - 5
Fox Sparrow - 2
Song Sparrow - 2
Red-winged Blackbird - 4

North Bay (viewed north of Bill's Spit) - 2 Caspian Terns (first of year)

Ocean Shores Marina - 120 Marbled Godwit (just outside the jetty wall), 40 Least Sandpiper (inside the marina - very low tide conditions when we were there)

Jetty (behind the STP) - Harlequin Duck (one pair), Pelagic Comorant, Black Scoter, Pigeon Guiellemot, Horned Grebe (2 in breeding plumage), American Pipit

Hoquiam - Paulson Rd. - 150 Sandhill Cranes, 2 Osprey on nest pole

GHNWR (viewed from parking area next to Lana's Cafe) - 2 Snow Geese

Hoquiam STP - 1 Bonaparte's Gull
