This morning, I took a stab at finding some Gallinaceous birds in the Satsop foothills north of Elma. I believe I got up there too late, the sun was already rising. Anyways, I did hear one Sooty Grouse "booming" off in the woods near the top of the A2300 logging road. Also, I heard my first of the year Common Yellowthroat in a couple different wetlands.
