Greetings All,

I spent a lovely two hours this morning strolling the trails of Nisqually with two birding friends from Madigan. The treat of the day was an American Bittern near the ring dike trail and a pair of minks, but there were lots and lots of Yellowthroats to ogle and a nice mix of Myrtle and Audubon Butter Butts, plus good side-by-side comparisons of Canada and Cackling Geese. Ten different ducks including two beautiful male Cinnamin Teals and a few Eurasian Wigeons, and a calling Greater Yellowlegs. Raptors were sparce, but there was one singing Vireo near the Barns. A beautiful day!!
