Tweeters,

We went looking for large brick chimneys in Easton today. No
significant chimneys in Easton, but did watch a Caspian Tern dive bomb
a small fish at the ponds beside I-90. Did locate a nice chimney in
Roslyn at the Swiftwater Learning Center, and my golly what a treasure
chest of brick chimneys Ellensburg is. The crown jewell is at the
south edge of Central WA U. I had been Tweetered that swifts have been
seen roosting there in the past. I can see why.

On the way back to Pugetsville we checked out the Elk Heights burn area
for woodpeckers. There sure has been a lot of woodpeckering done on
those blackened trees, but could only come up with three Hairys, or
maybe one Hairy three times.

At Morrison Canyon we found Mountain Bluebird, Mountain Chickadee,
yellow Red Crossbills and elk pieces.

Great day in the field.
