Hi,

In the past two weeks, I have found two dead pine siskins near/ dead
the tube feeder platform and two have died before I could get them to
the wildlife shelter. I have one tube feeder and 2 nijer seed
socks hanging pretty far from each other. I see a fair amount of
other healthy birds visiting: towhees, finches, siskins, bushtits,
chickadees, townsend's warbler, flickers (the flickers, warblers and
bushtits stick to the tube suet dough feeder). I clean the feeders
once a month. My neighbors also have feeders out and I have no idea
of their cleaning schedule. Is this salmonella again? I would love
some advice on what to do. I'm worried something I am doing is
killing the birds.
