This afternoon Sherry and I walked along Jim Pruske's Bluebird trail which is located along Waldrick Rd. north of Tenino. We had a lot of bird activity in the .7 mile section of the trail, including 7 sparrow species. Here is some of the birds seen.
Wilson's Snipe - 1
California Quail - 4
Red-tailed Hawk - 1
Tree Swallow - several
Violet-green Swallow - several
Barn Swallow - several
Raven - 1 calling
Scrub Jay - 4
Bushtit - 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 2
Yellow-rumped Warbler - lots
Orange-crowned Warbler - 2
Common Yellowthroat - 1
White-crowned Sparrow - lots
Golden-crowned Sparrow - 6
Chipping Sparrow - 1
Fox Sparrow - 1
Lincoln's Sparrow - 2
Song Sparrow - several
Savannah Sparrow - lots
Pine Siskin - lots
