I must have missed the post (if there was one) of the Eurasian
Collared-Dove at Marymoor April 11 (referenced on Michael Hobbs's
blog, http://www.marymoor.org/cgi-bin/blosxom.cgi/Birds). Ned McGarry
and I saw one there on 6/26/2006, on the boardwalk near the jetty
that projects into the slough. The bird was quite tame; I don't
recall if I actually touched it, but my hand was within six inches of
the bird, and i got great photos. We surmised it was a local escapee.
Perhaps Friday's sighting was, too.
