Saw a Vole the other day in my neighbors lawn that I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas about. I wish I had the camera handy. It was very dark, eyes didn't seem big nor small either though, couldn't notice ears, tail length about 1.5 inches, overall tail to nose around 5 inches. My best guesstimate is Creeping Vole, microtus oregoni. Don't think I've seen that one before. Does anyone know how prevalant they are in W. Wa? It seemed too small for Townsend's Vole, unless it was a younger one, still growing.
